Joe Biden Pardons Son Hunter, Despite Claiming He Wouldn’t.

President Joe Biden is granting a full and unconditional pardon to his son, Hunter Biden, for any crime committed between 2014 and 2024. The outgoing 82-year-old Democratic incumbent and his White House have repeatedly insisted Hunter would not be pardoned since the U.S. Department of Justice indicted him last year on tax fraud and gun charges.

Earlier this year, Hunter Biden was found guilty on both the gun and tax charges.

“Today, I signed a pardon for my son Hunter. From the day I took office, I said I would not interfere with the Justice Department’s decision-making, and I kept my word even as I have watched my son being selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted,” President Joe Biden said in a statement, late Sunday evening. He continued: Without aggravating factors like use in a crime, multiple purchases, or buying a weapon as a straw purchaser, people are almost never brought to trial on felony charges solely for how they filled out a gun form. Those who were late paying their taxes because of serious addictions, but paid them back subsequently with interest and penalties, are typically given non-criminal resolutions. It is clear that Hunter was treated differently.”

The 82-year-old Democrat concluded: “I hope Americans will understand why a father and a President would come to this decision.”

Concerning, the language of President Biden’s pardon of his son appears to suggest there may be other acts of criminality that have not yet come to light. The pardon is “full and unconditional” and explicitly states: “For those offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024, including but not limited to all offenses charged or prosecuted (including any that have resulted in convictions) by Special Counsel David C. Weiss…”

Pritzker Compares Trump Crackdown on Chicago Crime to ‘Nazi Regime.’

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker (D) compared actions by the Trump administration to tackle crime and enforce federal immigration law in Chicago to the “early days of the Nazi regime” and claimed the National Guard may be deployed at polling places during the 2026 midterm elections.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Governor Pritzker, President Trump, and federal law enforcement agencies.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Statements made on Wednesday, following similar rhetoric at Pritzker’s February budget address.

💬KEY QUOTE: “In the early days of the Nazi regime, they started slowly but surely taking away people’s rights, and what we’re seeing now is the very same thing.” – J.B. Pritzker

🎯IMPACT: The remarks raise concerns over the Democrats’ ongoing and escalating rhetoric, with leftist gunmen already targeting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel and assassinating conservative youth organizer Charlie Kirk in recent weeks.

IN FULL

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker (D) has bizarrely compared President Donald J. Trump’s law enforcement policies to oppression in the Third Reich in a new interview. “In the early days of the Nazi regime, they started slowly but surely taking away people’s rights, and what we’re seeing now is the very same thing,” Pritzker said in an interview this week, in reference to the Trump administration’s deployment of federal forces to cities grappling with incredibly high levels of violent crime in Democrat-run cities.

The comments came after National Guard troops, including several hundred from Texas, arrived in Chicago as part of a federal crime crackdown. Despite Chicago’s ongoing violent crime crisis, Pritzker and other Illinois Democrats are pushing back. The governor claims the deployment is part of a broader plan to “militarize” American cities ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

“Next year, I fear that what they’re going to do is deploy these folks eventually to polling places and say they’re protecting the vote,” Pritzker said. “Donald Trump knows that without shenanigans and without these breaches of the Constitution, he’s going to lose the Congress.”

The White House Rapid Response team slammed the remarks, calling Pritzker a “SICK scumbag” and accusing him of encouraging left-wing extremism with his dangerous rhetoric. Pritzker blamed Trump for “causing the mayhem on the ground,” in response, ignoring the fact that Chicago is often subjected to tens of shootings on the weekend already.

The latest deployments come as federal judges and state officials spar over the legality of Trump’s troop movements. In Oregon, a federal judge temporarily blocked similar efforts to send troops to Portland, Oregon. However, in Illinois, no such ruling has been made yet.

Chicago has long been a focal point for debates over federal intervention. Violent crime remains well above national averages, and cooperation between local and federal law enforcement on migrant crime has been strained under Illinois’s sanctuary state policies.

One recent incident in Broadview, Illinois, saw federal agents attacked while local police allegedly stood down. The standoff highlighted the ongoing breakdown in cooperation between state and federal agencies under Democrat leadership.

‘Antifa Handbook’ Professor Flees America.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A Rutgers University professor responsible for writing an Antifa “handbook” is relocating to Spain following an online petition accusing him of being “Antifa aligned” and a series of alleged death threats.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Mark Bray, a Rutgers assistant teaching professor, and Megyn Doyle, a student and treasurer of the university’s Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapter.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The events unfolded in New Jersey, with Bray announcing his immediate move to Spain in late October 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “This is reflective of the broader trend in the country. The Trump administration, I believe, is moving the country in a markedly authoritarian direction.” – Mark Bray

🎯IMPACT: The incident shows the culture is beginning to shift shift against activist academics, as conservatives become increasingly willing to use the left’s tactics against them in the public arena.

IN FULL

Mark Bray, a Rutgers University assistant teaching professor and author sympathetic to Antifa, is leaving New Jersey with his family and moving to Spain. This follows an online petition launched by Megyn Doyle, a student and treasurer of the school’s Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapter, which Bray alleges was followed by death threats.

Bray, who wrote the 2017 book Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook, has been accused of supporting political violence and funding Antifa-aligned causes. The petition, which has garnered over 950 signatures, states that Bray’s book promotes “militant anti-fascism” and brands conservative figures fascists. Doyle has called for Bray’s termination, citing his alleged support for a “violent extremist movement.”

Bray has denied being a member of any Antifa group, stating, “I’m not now, nor have I ever been. I’m a history professor, but I support anti-fascism.” He has also attributed the threats and backlash to what he claims is a broader trend of authoritarianism under the Trump administration, supposedly targeting academic freedom and higher education.

“All of this shows the effort to basically make it so that if you’re someone who promotes ideas outside what the Trump administration says its [sic] what real Americans think, you are someone who is not only an enemy, but even a terrorist,” Bray contends. “And that’s what’s wrapped up in this whole campaign to talk about antifa and the more broad antifa-aligned.”

The National Pulse reported in 2020 that Bray was previously denounced by his former employer, Dartmouth University. “Recent statements made by Lecturer in History Mark Bray supporting violent protest do not represent the views of Dartmouth,” the university said at the time, adding: “Dartmouth embraces free speech and open inquiry in all matters, and all on our campus enjoy the freedom to speak, write, listen, and debate in pursuit of better learning and understanding; however, the endorsement of violence in any form is contrary to Dartmouth values.”

Doyle, while condemning the alleged death threats against Bray, has maintained her stance that his actions are incompatible with his role as a university professor. “Free speech does not protect individuals from the consequences of advocating for political violence,” Doyle said.

Rutgers University has acknowledged the situation and stated that they are gathering more information. Bray plans to remain in Spain for at least the academic year.

Leftist Arrested at SCOTUS Mass Had 200 Explosives, Anti-Catholic Manifesto.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A man was arrested outside a Washington, D.C., church with hundreds of explosive devices and a manifesto targeting the Supreme Court and Catholics.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Louis Geri, 41, and police and bomb squad officers.

📍WHEN & WHERE: October 5, at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle during the annual “Red Mass;” further information reported on October 8.

💬KEY QUOTE: “You might want to stay back and call the federales, I have explosives,” Geri told police, according to an affidavit.

🎯IMPACT: The incident highlights ongoing security threats against the Supreme Court and religious institutions, raising concerns about domestic terrorism.

IN FULL

Police have discovered over 200 explosive devices in the tent of a man arrested outside the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle on October 5. The man also allegedly wrote a far-left manifesto expressing hostility toward the Supreme Court, the Roman Catholic Church, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and other institutions. The incident occurred during the annual “Red Mass,” traditionally attended by Supreme Court justices to mark the start of the judicial term. This year, no justices attended due to heightened security concerns.

The suspect, identified as 41-year-old Louis Geri of Vineland, New Jersey, was living in a motel in Mesa, Arizona, prior to the incident. Police found him camped in a tent on the church steps. When approached, he warned officers, “You might want to stay back and call the federales, I have explosives.” He later threatened, “Do you want me to throw one out, I’ll test one out on the streets? I have a hundred-plus of them,” threatening that “Several of your people are gonna die from one of these.”

Officers arrested Geri after he exited his tent to urinate. A vial containing yellow liquid with an attached explosive device was found in his pocket. A search of the tent uncovered over 200 additional devices, some containing nitromethane, a volatile chemical commonly associated with high-powered explosives. Investigators reported that the devices included modified grenades and bottle rockets equipped with aluminum foil and rubber-band secured fuses. Geri also had a butane lighter on him at the time of arrest.

According to court documents, Geri handed police a notebook titled “Written Negotiations for the Avoidance of Destruction of Property via Detonation of Explosives.” Law enforcement said the manifesto revealed “significant animosity towards the Catholic church, members of the Jewish faith, members of SCOTUS, and ICE facilities.” In a jailhouse interview, Geri described his devices as grenades and remotely detonated rockets.

He is currently being held without bond and faces multiple federal charges, including possession and manufacture of destructive devices, making threats to injure, and committing a hate crime with weapons of mass destruction.

This arrest comes amid growing concerns over politically motivated violence, with pro-illegal immigration gunmen targeting ICE in multiple incidents and conservative youth organizer Charlie Kirk being publicly assassinated, allegedly by a leftist with a transgender lover.

TONIGHT: Senate to Vote on Limiting Trump’s War Powers to Target Cartels.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The Senate is set to vote on legislation aimed at limiting President Donald J. Trump’s ability to use military force against drug cartels, focusing on recent strikes against Venezuelan drug traffickers in the Caribbean.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Trump, Senate Democrats, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA), and Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD), among others.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The vote is set to take place on Wednesday in the U.S. Senate at 6:45 PM, following recent military actions in the Caribbean.

💬KEY QUOTE: “It sends a message when a significant number of legislators say, ‘Hey, this is a bad idea,’” said Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA).

🎯IMPACT: The legislation seeks to reassert congressional authority over war powers, but the White House has indicated President Trump would veto the measure if passed.

IN FULL

The Senate will vote Wednesday evening at 6:45 PM on a resolution aimed at restricting President Donald J. Trump‘s ability to conduct military strikes against drug cartels without congressional authorization. This comes after the U.S. military carried out four strikes on vessels used by Venezuelan drug traffickers in the Caribbean, resulting in 21 deaths and the interception of narcotics.

The Trump White House has argued that drug cartels are armed combatants posing a threat to the U.S., justifying military action under presidential war powers. However, some lawmakers, including Democrats and a few Republicans, question the legal basis for the strikes.

Senators Tim Kaine (D-VA) and Adam Schiff (D-CA) led the push for the resolution, citing concerns about the precedent such actions could set. “This is the kind of thing that leads a country, unexpectedly and unintentionally, into war,” Schiff warned. The resolution, brought under the War Powers Resolution of 1973, would bar further military strikes unless Congress explicitly authorized them.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) was the only Republican to cosponsor the resolution ahead of the vote, although others, such as Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND), expressed concerns about an alleged lack of detailed information from the administration. Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD), however, defended the President’s actions, stating, “I’m going to vote no when the President is exercising his constitutional responsibility.”

The White House has already indicated that President Trump would veto the resolution if it passed. Secretary of State Marco Rubio also urged senators to oppose the legislation, emphasizing the threat posed by drug cartels to U.S. safety and security.

Despite the support from Sen. Paul, the Democrat-backed resolution is still expected to fall short of the votes needed to pass.

Bannon Slams Comey’s Special Treatment Before Court Appearance.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director James Comey was spared a “perp walk” ahead of his arrival in court on Wednesday, where he pleaded not guilty to charges of making a false statement to Congress and obstruction of a congressional proceeding.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: James Comey, WarRoom host and former Trump White House Chief Strategist Stephen K. Bannon, Trump advisor Peter Navarro, and legal analysts, including Andrew McCarthy.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Wednesday, following court proceedings involving Comey.

💬KEY QUOTE: “They slipped Comey in through another entrance, so he didn’t have to come through here. This is bulls**t.” – Stephen K. Bannon

🎯IMPACT: The disparity in treatment highlighted by Bannon raises questions about fairness and impartiality within the justice system.

IN FULL

WarRoom host and former Trump White House Chief Strategist Stephen K. Bannon criticized the preferential treatment of former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director James Comey. Speaking outside the courthouse, Bannon expressed frustration that Comey was allowed to enter the building through a private entrance, avoiding the “perp walk” and associated public and media attention that he and other Trump allies were subjected to during the Joe Biden-era lawfare campaign against President Donald J. Trump and his associates.

“They slipped Comey in through another entrance, so he didn’t have to come through here. This is bulls**t,” Bannon said. “Why is Comey not coming in from outside like everybody has to? There’s no way of taking you below a thing, and I don’t wanna hear ‘security.’ You don’t think there was higher security at taking out Steve Bannon or Peter Navarro, right, than James Comey?” he demanded.

Bannon, who served a four-month sentence for contempt of Congress, was clear that he had no issue with being “perp walked” during his case. “I proudly walked in there because I was proud of what I did, and I’m not gonna have the media… But they try to sit there and psychologically break you, so they got that image of you walking to court the entire time,” he explained.

“They allowed Comey to do something they didn’t allow anybody else to do. This is the problem. The problem is the system is rigged on this guy’s side, OK? It’s got to stop. Is Comey gonna be shackled? Is Comey gonna be strip-searched? … Comey’s there for felonies,” Bannon stressed.

Comey has pleaded not guilty to charges of making a false statement to Congress and obstruction of a congressional proceeding. The Trump Justice Department has opened a grand jury investigation into the origins of the Russiagate hoax more broadly, reportedly focused on whether prior probes into alleged ties between Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia were politically motivated or improperly conducted.

Senator Demands a Special Prosecutor Investigate FBI Spying on GOP Lawmakers.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) is demanding the Department of Justice (DOJ) appoint a special prosecutor to investigate alleged misuse of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) resources by Jack Smith to spy on Republican lawmakers.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Senator Josh Hawley, Attorney General Pam Bondi, the Biden FBI, Jack Smith, and whistleblowers.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Hawley made the demand during a Senate hearing with Attorney General Pam Bondi on Tuesday and in subsequent media interviews.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Madam Attorney General, I think we need a special prosecutor to be appointed, whose sole responsibility will be to get to the bottom of what has happened in every instance I have just named. I think we need to know exactly who approved the wire taps on United States senators, who knew about it.” – Senator Josh Hawley

🎯IMPACT: Hawley called for a special prosecutor and public hearings to investigate alleged corruption within the FBI and DOJ.

IN FULL

U.S. Senator Josh Hawley is demanding that the Department of Justice (DOJ) appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the alleged misuse of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) resources by Jack Smith and others in the former Biden government to spy on Republican lawmakers as well as everyday Americans. During a Senate Judiciary Committee oversight hearing on Tuesday, Sen. Hawley pressed Attorney General Pam Bondi on appointing a special prosecutor, but received no firm commitment that it would happen.

“Madam Attorney General, I think we need a special prosecutor to be appointed, whose sole responsibility will be to get to the bottom of what has happened in every instance I have just named. I think we need to know exactly who approved the wire taps on United States senators, who knew about it,” Hawley said on Tuesday.

The Missouri Republican reiterated his stance late Tuesday evening, while discussing the “Arctic Frost” scandal on television. “They lied about it. They tried to hide it. And then, as it turns out, they got wiretaps essentially on eight Republican senators,” Hawley said, adding that conservative organizations such as Turning Point USA (TPUSA) were also targeted.

When asked what information was obtained, Hawley explained, “They were able to get the list of incoming calls, outgoing calls, my location, when the calls were received, the duration of the calls, as well as metadata associated with the phone, and Jesse, that’s just what we know about for sure.” He further alleged that the surveillance was politically motivated and aimed at undermining President Donald J. Trump and the Republican Party.

Hawley called for decisive action, saying, “What needs to happen is we need a special prosecutor who’s going to go at this hard. We need to get all of the corruption uncovered. What we have here is rot that goes all through the FBI, that goes all through the DOJ.” He also called for public hearings and accountability for those involved, including figures like Jack Smith, former Attorney General Merrick Garland, and former FBI Director Christopher Wray.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: President Donald J. Trump announced Wednesday afternoon that he will likely be heading to Egypt either Saturday evening or Sunday morning in anticipation of the peace talks between Israel and Hamas entering their final phase.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Donald J. Trump, Jared Kushner, Steve Witkoff, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, Turkish intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin, and Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The possible Sunday, October 12, trip was announced on Wednesday afternoon.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I may go there sometime toward the end of the week. Maybe on Sunday, actually.” —  President Trump

🎯IMPACT: Trump’s commitment to a possible trip to Egypt at the end of this week suggests that serious breakthroughs have been made in the Israeli-Hamas peace negotiations.

IN FULL

President Donald J. Trump announced Wednesday afternoon that he will likely be heading to Egypt either Saturday evening or Sunday morning in anticipation of the peace talks between Israel and Hamas entering the final phase. “I may go there sometime toward the end of the week. Maybe on Sunday, actually,” President Trump said during White House event.

He continued: “And we’ll see, but there’s a very good chance. Negotiations are going along very well. We’re dealing with Hamas, and many of the countries, as you know, all of the Muslim countries are included, all of the Arab countries are included.” President Trump went on to suggest he may actually depart for Egypt on Saturday evening if talks continue to go well.

Trump’s commitment to a possible trip to Egypt at the end of this week suggests that serious breakthroughs have been made in the Israeli-Hamas peace negotiations.

The National Pulse reported earlier on Wednesday that U.S. negotiators, Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, joined key participants, including Qatar‘s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani and Turkey’s intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin, in Egypt for the third day of indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas. Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi described the involvement of Kushner and Witkoff as “very encouraging,” emphasizing their strong mandate from Trump to bring an end to the conflict. Talks have focused on hostages, prisoner exchanges, and the phased withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.

U.S. Foreign-Born Population Drops by 2.2 Million Amid Deportations, Record Low Illegal Immigration.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A historic reduction in the foreign-born population in the U.S. occurred in the first seven months of President Donald J. Trump’s second term, attributed to record-low illegal immigration levels and migrants returning to their home countries.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Steven Camarota and Karen Zeigler of the Center for Immigration Studies, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

📍WHEN & WHERE: January through August of this year, across the United States.

💬KEY QUOTE: “We think the evidence is strong that most or all of the decline in the foreign-born population shown in the CPS is real and primarily reflects a reduction in new arrivals and, in particular, a large increase in emigration.” – Steven Camarota and Karen Zeigler.

🎯IMPACT: Record-breaking reductions in illegal immigration, with 1.6 million illegal aliens self-deporting and over 400,000 deported by ICE, alongside historic lows in border apprehensions.

IN FULL

The United States has seen a historic decline in its foreign-born population in the first seven months of President Donald J.  Trump’s second term, due mainly to record-low rates of illegal border crossings and a significant number of foreign nationals choosing to return to their country of origin. The data comes from an analysis of the Current Population Survey (CPS) conducted by Steven Camarota and Karen Zeigler of the Center for Immigration Studies.

According to the researchers, the foreign-born population has dropped by 2.2 million across the United States from January through August of this year. Importantly, the analysis sheds light on how effective the Trump administration’s increased interior immigration enforcement operations have been, finding that the illegal immigrant population has declined by 1.6 million over the eight-month period.

The Center for Immigration Studies researchers note that while some might attribute the CPS data analysis to a “a statistical fluke,” the plummeting foreign-born population is likely driven by record-low illegal immigration levels as well as self-deportations  “We think the evidence is strong that most or all of the decline in the foreign-born population shown in the CPS is real and primarily reflects a reduction in new arrivals and, in particular, a large increase in emigration,” Camarota and Zeigler write.

In September, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that estimates suggest 1.6 million illegal immigrants have self-deported from the United States. Additionally, government data shows the Trump administration is on track to match or exceed the 300,000 peak annual deportations seen under former President Barack Obama—the most in a year in recent history. Some estimates place the total deportations by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents at more than 400,000.

The National Pulse reported on Tuesday that illegal crossings at the U.S.–Mexico border have fallen to their lowest level in over 50 years. U.S. Border Patrol recorded approximately 238,000 apprehensions in fiscal year 2025, a dramatic decline from the 2.2 million reported in fiscal year 2022 during the Biden government.

Acting CDC Boss Tells Big Pharma to Separate MMR Vax Into Three Shots.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Acting U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Jim O’Neill called for the MMR vaccine to be split into three separate shots, echoing comments made by President Donald J. Trump.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Jim O’Neill, Donald Trump, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and vaccine manufacturers Merck and GSK.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Statements were made on social media and in interviews in October 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Break up the MMR shot into three totally separate shots (not mixed!)” – President Trump

🎯IMPACT: Spreading out measles, mumps, and rubella vaccinations could reduce side effects and give children’s bodies more time to adjust to them, but the health establishment is complaining that it could disrupt adherence to immunization schedules and increase the risk of contracting one of the illnesses between shots.

IN FULL

Jim O’Neill, Acting Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is advocating for separating the MMR vaccine, which inoculates against measles, mumps, and rubella, into three separate doses. His stance echoes a social media post by President Donald J. Trump last month, when he wrote, “BREAK UP THE MMR SHOT INTO THREE TOTALLY SEPARATE SHOTS (NOT MIXED!), TAKE CHICKEN P SHOT SEPARATELY, TAKE [HEPATITIS] B SHOT AT 12 YEARS OLD, OR OLDER, AND, IMPORTANTLY, TAKE VACCINE IN 5 SEPARATE MEDICAL VISITS!”

O’Neill has supported this view, stating, “Thank you POTUS for your leadership. I call on vaccine manufacturers to develop safe monovalent vaccines to replace the combined MMR.”

Introduced in 1971, the MMR vaccine, manufactured by Merck and GSK, combined three vaccines previously licensed in the 1960s, and has long been controversial, with skeptics linking it to autism. Andrew Nixon, Communications Director for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), noted, “Standalone vaccinations can potentially reduce the risk of side effects and can maximize parental choice in childhood immunizations.”

Bank of England: AI Bubble Threatens Global Economy.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The Bank of England has warned of a growing risk of a “sudden correction” in global financial markets due to overvaluation in the artificial intelligence (AI) sector.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The Bank of England, AI technology companies, financial analysts, and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The warning was issued during a Wednesday meeting, with concerns spanning global markets, particularly the United States.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The risk of a sharp market correction has increased,” said the Bank of England’s financial policy committee, noting that “equity market valuations appear stretched, particularly for technology companies focused on artificial intelligence.”

🎯IMPACT: A potential AI bubble burst could destabilize the global economy, with AI spending now accounting for a significant portion of the U.S. GDP.

IN FULL

The Bank of England (BoE) is joining a growing number of financial sector voices warning that an artificial intelligence (AI) sector-fueled bubble is increasingly likely and could trigger a “sudden correction” in global financial markets. “The risk of a sharp market correction has increased,” said the Bank of England’s financial policy committee during a Wednesday meeting, warning that “equity market valuations appear stretched, particularly for technology companies focused on artificial intelligence.”

In recent weeks, financial analysts have grown more concerned about an AI bubble and subsequent burst. At least one analysis has found that the potential AI bubble could be 17 times the size of the dotcom-era bubble. Concerningly, the same data found that an AI bubble-fueled financial crisis could be four times worse than 2008’s Great Recession.

The National Pulse reported in late September that former Facebook executive Julie Zhou warned that much of the AI technology industry’s growth is not being driven by robust data-driven business strategies, but rather by “good instincts and good vibes.” Zhou argued that while the AI industry has tremendous promise, the technology is still far from achieving what many adherents claim. This has left the AI technology sector rife with speculative investment on a scale that could potentially threaten the U.S. economy should the bubble burst.

Zhou’s concerns have even been echoed by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, who has acknowledged that the AI sector’s revenue lags far behind expenses. Over 33 US-based AI startups raised $100 million or more in 2025 alone, though none have yet to turn a profit or demonstrate market viability. Many of these start-ups, along with more established companies, are reliant on technology from industry leaders like Nvidia—with the former making up nearly 10 percent of the S&P 500.

Even more troubling, a report by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) researchers in August found that only five percent of AI pilot programs help businesses achieve “rapid revenue acceleration,” with the majority failing to deliver. Despite these concerns, generative AI now accounts for roughly 40 percent of the United States’ gross domestic product (GDP), making the economy heavily reliant on the industry’s stability.
