The Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE) claims two House lawmakers likely broke campaign finance laws in prior elections. In two reports released on Thursday, the OCE—a nonpartisan and independent watchdog group established by Congress in 2008—says it has “substantial reason to believe” Representatives Andy Ogles (R-TN) and Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL) failed to appropriately report certain campaign contributions to circumvent election rules on contribution limits and the funding of political action committees (PACs).
According to the OCE reports, Rep. Ogles’s 2022 Congressional campaign allegedly “omitted or misrepresented required information in his financial disclosure statements or FEC candidate committee reports” and “may have accepted excessive contributions that were reported as personal loans and contributions from the candidate.”

The watchdog group claims that Ogles’s $320,000 loan reported to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) for his election campaign was a ploy to cover up his acceptance of donor contributions over the legal limits. They note that they believe the Tennessee Republican lacked the financial resources at the time to make such a significant transaction. However, in a letter to the OCE, Ogles stated that the filing was incorrect and that the actual loan amount was only $20,000.
Meanwhile, Rep. Cherfilus-McCormick is accused of circumventing rules regarding campaign contributions to PACs. The report states the Florida Democrat made “payments to a state political action committee in connection with her campaign and failed to report these payments as contributions to her campaign.” Additionally, the OCE says it has found evidence that at least one individual working on Cherfilus-McCormick’s campaign was not paid with official campaign funds. The globalist Wall Street Journal is fretting that the deportation of illegal immigrants is impacting the bottom line of some of the largest multinational corporations. In a sprawling feature story, the Murdoch-owned newspaper attempts to conflate an overall consumer demand decline across all ethnic groups with President Donald J. Trump‘s efforts to deport violent and dangerous criminal illegal immigrants, arguing that it is the deportations and not other factors that are resulting in falling consumption. Additionally, the Journal appears ambivalent to the positive impacts the deportations are having on native-born American workers, focusing instead on the loss of cheap foreign labor used by corporations.
“ICE’s tactics have had a chilling effect on some retailers, store owners and company executives said,” the Wall Street Journal story declares, before directly blaming White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller for said “chilling effect.”
“Hispanic shoppers reduced visits to physical stores more than non-Hispanic ones in the first quarter of the year, compared with the same period in 2024,” the Journal contends. “Walgreens experienced a 10.5 percentage point decline in Hispanic shoppers in the first quarter, while Home Depot had an 8.7 percentage point drop and Dollar General a 6.1 percentage point decrease.”
However, what the Wall Street Journal ignores is that elevated interest rates, decreased lending, and an increasingly deflationary environment (which usually presents as falling consumer demand) are statistically shown to impact Hispanics and other minority groups at higher rates than America’s white population. Data shows that credit card delinquency rates, for instance, are at a 13-year high, with the total number of consumers who are 90 days or more past due hitting 12.3 percent in Q1 of 2025.
While some individuals interviewed by the Journal claim they’ve cut back on eating out or shopping for fear of ICE raids, the more reasonable—and likely—explanation for the decline is the lack of credit (and overall liquidity) among American consumers as a whole.
In another instance, the Journal claims that big box stores, like Walmart and Target, are offering steep discounts of 50 percent or more to lure Hispanic consumers back to their stores. However, again, in Target’s own earnings report, the company says it has rolled out $1 price point items not to appeal to Hispanics, but rather to attract all consumers, as falling credit and left-wing boycotts over the company’s decision to scrap some of its DEI policies have depressed its sales numbers.
This skewed and disingenuous reasoning is nothing new for the Journal. The National Pulse’s Editor-in-Chief Raheem Kassam has noted in the past that The Wall Street Journal has opposed almost any attempt to deport illegal immigrants. For instance, in February, the newspaper threw a fit that President Trump was removing illegal immigrants who had overstayed their visas from the country.
Notably, visa overstays are one of the primary methods for individuals to immigrate to the United States illegally.

Russian media outlet RIA Novosti cited a study claiming that 26 of the tanks have been destroyed since their deployment. This figure aligns with prior reports, including an April 2024 Associated Press article, which noted that Ukrainian forces had sidelined the U.S.-provided Abrams tanks due to difficulties in avoiding detection and attacks from Russian drones.
The open-source tracking group Oryx reported in December 2024 that Ukraine had lost at least 17 Abrams tanks, with eight destroyed, seven damaged and abandoned, one damaged, and one captured. As Oryx only records visually confirmed losses, the actual number could be higher.

Videos circulating on social media have purportedly shown Abrams tanks being struck and destroyed in combat. Such drones are attached to thin fiber optic cables to avoid jamming systems used on wireless drones.
Additionally, Russia’s Defense Ministry recently reported the capture of two Abrams tanks in Ukraine’s Sumy region. A video released by the ministry showed Russian troops recovering the intact vehicles, which were later towed to the rear by the 22nd Motor Rifle Regiment.

Irish mediareports that the police have been recruiting from asylum centres, known in Ireland as International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) centers, since at least 2022. Garda Commissioner Drew Harris admitted that asylum seekers should not even be eligible to become police officers. However, those granted refugee status do qualify after having resided in Ireland for a certain number of years.
Ireland has been gripped by anti-mass migration sentiment as more and more asylum seekers have flooded into the small and relatively homogeneous country in recent years. In one case, the government wanted to settle hundreds of asylum seekers, most of them young men, in a town of just 165 people last year.

The analysis highlights that 376,700 foreign-born lead tenants in London receive an average discount equivalent to around $15.9k annually compared to private rental costs, resulting in a total taxpayer cost exceeding $4.8 billion annually.
Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick, of the formerly governing Conservative Party, criticized the findings, stating, “This research shows how the huge costs of mass, low-skilled migration are often hidden from the public.” He added, “When you lift up the [hood], it’s clear that the level and composition of immigration have been hugely economically harmful for decades.”
Further analysis revealed that 68 percent of foreign-born lead tenants in London’s social housing hold British passports. This equates to 257,200 individuals who, while born abroad, have British citizenship.
The data also showed that 35 percent of working-age foreign-born lead tenants in London’s social housing are either unemployed or economically inactive despite living in one of Britain’s most productive regions. The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) previously reported that low-paid migrant workers cost taxpayers more than $202,000 each by retirement age, rising exponentially as they age.
Separate data from the English Housing Survey indicates ethnic disparities in social housing use, with 48 percent of Black Caribbean households and 40 percent of Bangladeshi households living in taxpayer-subsidized homes, compared to 16 percent of White British households.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the arrest on June 11, stating that Garduno-Galvez now faces charges of attempted murder.
The riots in Los Angeles erupted following ICE raids conducted in the city last week. Protesters engaged in destructive activities, including setting vehicles ablaze, throwing projectiles at police, vandalizing property, and looting businesses. Rioters also targeted the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) headquarters downtown.

A federal grand jury has returned a three-count indictment against Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) for allegedly obstructing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers during an incident at a detention center in Newark, New Jersey, last month.
The indictment, issued Tuesday in Newark, accuses McIver of forcibly interfering with ICE agents on May 9 as they attempted to arrest an illegal immigrant outside Delaney Hall detention center. The charges include allegations that McIver physically shoved and resisted federal officers and impeded their efforts.

The incident occurred during what was described as a congressional oversight visit by McIver, alongside fellow Democrat New Jersey Reps. Bonnie Watson Coleman and Robert Menendez Jr. Their visit coincided with a demonstration by open-borders activists outside the facility. According to the Department of Justice (DOJ), the situation escalated when Newark Mayor Ras Baraka (D) entered a restricted area of the detention center without authorization.
The DOJ states Baraka was warned multiple times to leave the secured area, but refused. When officers attempted to arrest him, McIver and others reportedly intervened, surrounding the mayor and physically preventing officers from applying handcuffs. The indictment further alleges McIver struck and restrained federal officers during their second attempt to arrest Baraka after he was escorted outside.
“As I have stated in the past, it is my Constitutional obligation as the Chief Federal Law Enforcement Officer for New Jersey to ensure that our federal partners are protected when executing their duties,” U.S. Attorney Alina Habba said. She added, “While people are free to express their views for or against particular policies, they must not do so in a manner that endangers law enforcement and the communities those officers serve.”
If convicted on all charges, McIver could face up to 17 years in federal prison.
