An Illinois mom accused her daughter’s school officials of forcing the 13-year-old and other girls to undress in front of a biological male in the name of “inclusivity.”
The details: Nicole Georgas told a Deerfield District 109 School Board meeting that her daughter came home from Shepard Middle School on February 5 frightened and upset because a boy was in the girls’ bathroom, and school administrators told her it was permitted.
- The school has separate gender-neutral options for trans-identifying students.
Bad to worse: Georgas said the situation “went from bad to worse” a few days later when the girls made the decision not to change into their phys-ed clothes because the male was present.
- The school allegedly responded by putting adults in the locker room to ensure all girls were changing into their gym clothes without protest.
Back up: On February 5, President Donald J. Trump signed an executive order titled “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports,” which threatens to withhold federal funding from public schools that allow biological boys into girls’ locker rooms.
The circus comes to town: Georgas’ testimony at the school board meeting was booed by a large audience of transgender activists. Charlie Friedman, a transgender person with a transgender middle schooler, said:
- “The discomfort or privacy concerns of other students, teachers, or parents are not valid reasons to deny or limit the full and equal use of those facilities based on a student’s gender-related identity.”
…So this transgender parent has a transgender kid. What are the odds? And this pillar of mental stability claims a 13-year-old girl’s right to privacy is “not valid.”
What happens now? Georgas has filed a civil rights complaint with the Department of Justice.
