Lawmakers Advance Nation’s “Strongest” Pro-Life Bill in Missouri

March 4, 2019
Politics

Missouri’s state House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed a sweeping pro-life bill that is being labeled the “strongest in the nation” on Wednesday, sending it to the Missouri state Senate with a vote of 117-39. House Bill 126, commonly referred to as the “Missouri Stands for the Unborn Act,” is comprehensive in restricting abortions in the state. If passed, abortion would be criminalized in as many instances as possible under current law. The bill reads: Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, no abortion shall be performed or induced upon a woman, except in cases of medical emergency. Any

Multiple States Seek to Expand Invasive Mental Health Screening in Schools

March 1, 2019
Analysis

In the wake of multiple horrific school shootings — particularly the Parkland, Fla., massacre where 17 people were murdered by a student long-known to have mental issues — states all over the nation have been moving to expand mental health screening, treatment, and data collection. The two most prominent states are Florida and Texas, but Georgia and other states are also joining this dangerous craze. Analysis

Fresh off a hilarious, failed attempt to get liberal Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) to pledge to vote ‘yes’ on the “Green New Deal,” proponents of this effort to bankrupt America are now complaining that the upcoming Senate vote is “a sham.” E&E News reports: If Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) calls a vote on the “Green New Deal,” it looks likely that many — or even all — Senate Democrats would vote “present” to avoid a public intraparty fight, said activists, lawmakers and congressional aides. The environmental group behind the climate resolution is not planning to punish Democratic lawmakers

Planned Parenthood isn’t satisfied with having aborted more than 330,000 babies in 2017. Now, in an effort to cast their net a little wider and reel in a larger number of potential clients, they’ve developed a chatbot named Roo. Roo is an artificial intelligence app available via the Planned Parenthood website and targeted at kids age 13 to 17, a demographic that already spends an average of nine hours a day online. The app, designed with the input of high school students, purports to offer “quick answers to intimate sexual health questions” — in other words, extremely biased and perpetuating

February 25, 2019
Culture

The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) recently gave the upcoming pro-life film “Unplanned” an ‘R’ rating for violence, an ironic endorsement of the film’s key message. “Unplanned” tells the story of former Planned Parenthood clinic manager Abby Johnson. Running the clinic opened her eyes to the gruesome reality of abortion, causing her pro-life conversion. “I thought I was helping women,” Johnson explained. “But I was doing more harm than good. It wasn’t until I saw a child fight for its life that my world came crashing down and I understood the enormity of my actions. I had to leave.
