NYT: Japan Should Be Gayer Because Some Samurai Were Gay.

The New York Times is pushing for Japan to embrace same-sex marriage, because the samurai allegedly engaged in same-sex liaisons “regularly” and Kabuki theater can involve cross-dressing.

In a lengthy article to accompany the Group of Seven summit in Hiroshima, the NYT railed against the relatively conservative, low-diversity country for being the only G7 member which has not legalized same-sex marriage, claiming it enjoys “overwhelming” support among the general public.

The NYT begins by taking aim at Shinto, the country’s ancient animist folk religion. It asserts that “the Shinto faith is not so much a spiritual practice as a cultural one” for “millions” of Japanese and that it has “no official dogma or scripture” – although Shinto does in fact have holy books, chiefly the Kojiki  (‘Records of Ancient Matters’).

On this basis, the American newspaper bemoans the fact that what is described as “a national Shinto association” has “tried to spread a conservative ideological message among lawmakers, including on gay and transgender rights,” as if it has no Shintoist grounds for doins so.

At no point is it made clear that the group in question represents almost all of Japan’s 80,000 shrines, and so likely has a better grasp on whether progressive politics is compatible with Shinto values, which put a strong emphasis on the traditional family, than the NYT.

Indeed, the newspaper relies on Gary Leupp, an American academic, to claim that “samurai men regularly engaged in same-sex partnerships” during the Tokugawa period, before asserting that the “Kabuki and Takarazuka theatrical traditions embrace fluid gender identities”.

As with claims that Ancient Greece was awash with and accepting of homosexual relationships, however, this may be a skewed reinterpretation of Japanese culture, given the fact the Japanese Society of Psychiatry and Neurology only announced it no longer regarded homosexuality as a mental illness in 1995, for example.

Moreover, as recently as 2015 a survey by the National Institute of Population and Social Security Research found that some 72 per cent of Japanese would feel “displeased” or “somewhat displeased” if they discovered their child was homosexual, appearing to contradict the suggestion that homosexuality has been considered normative for hundreds of years.

Biden Says He Killed a Senior Al Qaeda Operative. It Turns Out He May Have Been a Poor Farmer.

U.S. government officials appear to be climbing down from claims that a man slain in a Hellfire missile strike in Syria on May 3rd was a “senior Al Qaeda leader.” Similar to the drone strike that killed an aid worker’s family after Biden’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal, the truth appears to be that the deceased was just a poor farmer in a field.

In early May 2023, Pentagon officials boasted about the kill, carried out by a Predator drone, but even the Washington Post now reports they are walking back their claims, with evidence mounting that the man they killed was an ordinary civilian.

“We are no longer confident we killed a senior AQ official,” one defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity, admitted to the newspaper.

Another, also anonymous official conceded “the strike did not kill the original target” as well, yet insisted they still “believe the person to be al-Qaeda.”

But Charles Lister, the Middle East Institute’s director for Syria and Countering Terrorism and Extremism, told WaPo the the White Helmets organization attended the scene “[v]ery quickly after this strike” and “identified the individual with his name and his profession.”

“Locals came forward to say, this guy’s always been a farmer. He’s never had any political activities; he’s never had any affiliation with armed groups,” Lister said, noting that the “pace and breadth of such push-back was actually quite unusual.”

WaPo identified the victim as 56-year-old Lotfi Hassan Misto, and interviewed eight people including his brother and son, who insist he was an ordinary man whose “whole life was spent poor.”

“If they claim that he’s a terrorist, or that they got someone from al-Qaeda, they’re all liars,” Misto’s brother said.

Echoes of Afghanistan.

The case echoes that of Zemari Ahmadi, a worker for a U.S. aid group in Afghanistan.

Zemari was killed along with up to nine others, including seven children, as the Biden regime scrambled to regain credibility following an Islamic State – Khorasan Province (ISIS-K) attack during the withdrawal from Afghanistan, which killed a number of American servicemen.

The government initially claimed the strike that killed Ahmadi eliminated “high profile” ISIS-K militants.

Undeclared DeSantis Hosts Donor Call With NYT, Says ‘Biden and Me’ Are Electable.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, still yet to officially declare his entry into the race to be the Republican presidential candidate for 2024, has told donors only he or Joe Biden can win the 2024 election on a call where he invited the New York Times to listen.

“You have basically three people at this point that are credible in this whole thing,” DeSantis said on the conference call organized by his anti-Trump ‘Never Back Down’ super PAC.

“Biden, Trump and me. And I think of those three, two have a chance to get elected president — Biden and me, based on all the data in the swing states, which is not great for the former president and probably insurmountable because people aren’t going to change their view of him,” the Floridian claimed.

DeSantis also claimed a voter in Iowa had told him “we liked [Trump’s] policies but we didn’t like his values,” but that in his own case they said, “we like your policies but also know that you share our values.” The Governor ludicrously argued that the “corporate media wants Trump to be the nominee.”

Backroom Boy.

DeSantis and his allies have been privately lobbying against Trump since late 2019.

While for some it originally appeared as though Trump was turning on a former ally who had done him no wrong, revelations of DeSantis’s efforts to undermine the former president out of the public eye explain why he recognized the Governor’s betrayal early, and acted accordingly.

In terms of DeSantis’s claims to be a more viable candidate than Trump, Rich Baris of Big Data Poll summed it up as “the same electability argument used by [John] McCain, [Mitt] Romney and Jeb [Bush], largely informed by the same pollsters,” adding: “Republican voters didn’t believe it in 2016 and they don’t now.”

He added: “8%-12% of 2020 Biden voters routinely tell us they have changed their minds and would vote for Trump in a rematch… DeSantis’ concern should be the 18% of Trump voters who say they will only vote FOR Trump.”

The narrative that DeSantis has broader appeal than Trump also appears to be based on not necessarily reliable numbers. The National Pulse recently revealed how the much-publicized pro-DeSantis, anti-Trump polls are conducted by an organization with clear ties to the DeSantis campaign and questionable links to the likes of Paul Ryan, Jeb Bush, and even George Soros.

‘Mystery’ 50% Spike in Heart Arrhythmia Puts 1 in 45 At Risk of Stroke.

There has been an “astonishing” increase in the number of people with atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeats, or heart arrhythmia) since 2013.

A British Heart Foundation analysis of data from Britain’s National Health Service (NHS) has put the number of people with atrial fibrillation, the most common type of heart arrhythmia, at over 1.5 million for the first time, with fears that around 270,000 more people also have the condition but are undiagnosed.

Even without these hundreds of thousands of suspected cases, the 1.5 million figure means that somewhere around one in every 45 people in Britain have the condition, putting them at risk of blood clots that could cause debilitating or even deadly strokes.

“A Quite Astonishing Rise”

“These figures show a quite astonishing rise in the number of people diagnosed with atrial fibrillation,” said Professor Sir Nilesh Samani, the British Heart Foundation’s medical director, in comments reported by Comcast-owned Sky News.

All told, atrial fibrillation cases are up by around 50 per cent since 2013, with Sky News offering little by way of explanation for the phenomenon but suggesting it is “likely” due to “better recognition and diagnosis of the condition.”

“What remains troubling is the sheer number of people who are undiagnosed and unaware that they are living with a heightened risk of stroke. Finding people with this hidden threat must remain a priority,” he added.

The growing number of people with heart conditions may prove to be good business for some, however, with Pfizer recently buying up Arena Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company that has focused in part on cardiovascular and inflammatory medicines.

In October 2022, Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo announced new guidance regarding mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, citing a study showing an 84 percent increase in the incidence of cardiac-related deaths among males 18 to 39 years old within 28 days following mRNA vaccination.

Dutch Farmers Restricted to Two Cows Per Field in New ‘Climate Change’ Plans.

Farmers in the Netherlands may be restricted to just two cows to an area the size of a soccer stadium pitch, or slightly wider than an American football field.

Prime Minister Mark Rutte, who has led the Netherlands at the head of the RINO-style People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) since 2010, is attacking farmers on multiple fronts as he attempts to implement EU diktats related to nitrogen, methane, and other climate change boogeymen.

This has resulted in widespread farmer protests, one of which saw police open fire on a slowly-moving tractor driven by a 16-year-old-boy, and the rise of a pro-farmer political party, the BoerBurgerBeweging (Farmer–Citizen Movement, or BBB), which recently won provincial elections in every region of the Netherlands and is set to become the largest party in the Dutch senate.

Popular resistance and political defeat have not stopped the VVD’s governing coalition from pushing on with the green agenda, however. Reports indicate that it is looking at supplementing its efforts to forcibly buy out many farmers with restrictions on the number of livestock that can be grazed in a given amount of space – which would of course render many farms unviable.

Making Way for Migrants.

The two-cows-per-field proposal has leaked as negotiations between farmers and the governing class are ongoing,

“I am incredibly disappointed that there is a leak. I don’t know where it came from, but it is bad because it is not helpful to the process,” seethed Piet Adema, the government minister for agriculture, in comments to lawmakers, evidently preferring that the public be kept in the dark about such things.

“We are still negotiating. Everything is still in motion,” he insisted.

Some aren’t so sure that climate change is the only motivation, however. Leading pro-farmer activist Eva Vlaardingerbroek believes it is less concerned with climate change than it is with acquiring more land to build housing for North African and other migrants, who have been arriving in the densely-populated country en masse for years.

Indeed, after the courts blocked construction projects on grounds that they would produce emissions violating binding climate agreements, Prime Minister Rutte warned they would not be able to proceed until emissions are reduced elsewhere – and that means dropping the hammer on farmers.

FBI Whistleblower Tells Congress Jan 6 Footage Hidden to Protect ‘Undercover Agents’.

An FBI whistleblower has told the United States Congress’ House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government that the bureau withheld further CCTV footage from the January 6th Capitol Hill fracas over fears of outing “undercover” agents present in the crowd.

Speaking to lawmakers, whistleblower and former Supervisory Intelligence Analyst George Hill recounted how the FBI’s Washington Field Office (WFO) refused to share information with their Boston colleagues, which rankled the Supervisory Special Agent.

“The [Supervisory Special Agent] … said, ‘Happy to do it. Show us where they were inside the Capitol, and we’ll look into it.’ To which WFO said, ‘We can’t show you those videos unless you can tell us the exact time and place those individuals were inside the Capitol.’ To which the SSA responded back – and I was privy to these conversations firsthand – ‘Why can’t you show us – why can’t you just send us the – give us access to the 11,000 hours of video that’s available?’”

“’Because there may be’ – may be – ‘UCs,’ undercover officers, ‘or CHSes,’ confidential human sources, ‘on those videos whose identity we need to protect,” WFO said, according to Hill.

The news came from Weaponization Committee’s report released Thursday, which alleged widespread partisanship within the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

In January 2022, FBI Executive Assistant Director Jill Sanborn refused to deny the FBI’s involvement in the January 6th violence. When quizzed by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Sanborn repeatedly replied, “I can’t answer that,” to near every question.

AOC Backed a Migrant Trucker ‘Boycott’ of Florida. It Had Zero Impact.

A trucker boycott of the state of Florida following Governor Ron DeSantis’s bill that imposed stricter penalties and restrictions on illegal migrants in Florida is yet to materialize. The lack of action came despite corporate media hype, and support from Democrat Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

A number of videos surfaced online over the past week that showed demands calling for truckers not to drive their goods to Florida, including one trucker who argued in Spanish:

“Do not enter Florida. Let’s support immigrants. What they’re doing in Florida is not okay. I’m going to say it again, I won’t enter Florida and neither will my truck. Let’s not pretend like we’re not all immigrants here.”

The far-left member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, took to Twitter to support the protests, telling her followers that “[a]nti-immigrant policies reap what they sow. DeSantis’ Florida is about to find that out.”

Reality.

Even the leftist Tallahassee Democrat conceded this week they were unaware of any truckers actually boycotting the Sunshine State.

The President of Florida Trucking Association, Alix Miller, furthermore, told the British left-wing website the Independent, “I’m aware of the reports, but have not heard of any issues.”

Corporate media sources originally reported “empty shelves” due to the protests. It soon became apparent that one of their videos was from October, and showed shortages due to Hurricane Ian. Another showed a recent refrigeration issue at a Walmart Supercenter.

FOREVER WAR: Ukraine Conflict Could Now Last DECADES, According to Biden Govt Insiders.

Joe Biden’s government is now planning for the Ukraine conflict to last years – “perhaps decades” – with no clear victor, according to insider claims.

POLITICO – a German-owned outlet the “intelligence community” often uses to plant information – spoke to a number of current and former officials “granted anonymity to describe sensitive issues” who believe Ukraine could become a frozen conflict.

“We are planning for the long term, whether it looks frozen or thawed,” said a source the report described as a “U.S. official familiar with the Biden administration’s discussions on Ukraine.”

The new claims echo a warning made by National Pulse editor Raheem Kassam on Steve Bannon’s War Room in December 2021. Kassam said at the time: “If Americans thought Afghanistan was a debacle and took decades, and trillions of dollars, then let me tell you this as a matter of fact: if you get into a hot war with Russia over Ukraine, you will be there for 50 years, and tens of trillions of dollars. This is no small altercation you’re talking about, and not a short altercation you’re talking about.”

POLITICO reports a “growing sense within the [Biden] administration that an upcoming Ukrainian counteroffensive won’t deal a mortal blow to Russia” – meaning American taxpayers could be on the hook virtually in perpetuity as the Ukraine conflict drags on and potentially “freezes” like the Korean War, which is technically ongoing despite a ceasefire in the 1950s.

“A Korea-style stoppage is certainly something that’s been discussed by experts and analysts in and out of government,” revealed a source described as a former Biden administration official.

“It’s plausible, because neither side would need to recognize any new borders and the only thing that would have to be agreed is to stop shooting along a set line.”

Forever War.

“There’s a school of thought that says, ‘Oh, the Ukrainians have to have [the city of] Mariupol and Azov Sea access.’ There’s others less hung up about the placement of the lines as long as Ukraine is secure going into the future,” said a former official “describing the internal conversations” within the Biden government.

This represents a marked climbdown from its early win conditions for the war, which involved the Ukrainians not just defeating Russia’s general invasion, but driving them from the Crimean peninsula and parts of the Donbas controlled by Russia-aligned separatists since 2014.

This does not mean American taxpayers can look forward to a time when a truce is declared and they are no longer shaken down for military aid and financial assistance, however. “Biden aides” are reportedly discussing “long-term security guarantees for Ukraine,” according to a “former U.S. intelligence official who handled Russia-related matters”.

The costs involved may prove to be considerable, with America’s continuing entanglement with Korea costing billions of dollars every year.

BREAKING: Biden’s Transgender Hire Sam Brinton Arrested as ‘Fugitive from Justice’.

Sam Brinton – the “non binary” former Biden government official ousted after being exposed by The National Pulse – has been arrested as a “fugitive from justice”.

Brinton, an LGBTQ+ activist and drag queen who served at the Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy, went by the alter ego “Sister Ray Dee O’Active”. He was exposed by The National Pulse for, among other things, defending the website rentboy.com, which was shut down in August 2015 after a raid related to underage prostitution.

The Mail reports: “Brinton was arrested at approximately 10 p.m. last night in [his] home on College Parkway. [He is] being held in the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit on a no-bond status as they await an extradition hearing.”

A neighbor also reportedly told The Daily Wire website that “four unmarked police showed up last night, they would not let his spouse Kevin leave. After about an hour Sam Brinton was escorted out in handcuffs.”

Brinton lost his job after his habit of stealing women’s clothing from airport luggage carousels during work trips was revealed, and reports indicate he has now been arrested at his home in Maryland.

The National Pulse was able to discover that, during his time as a Biden official, Brinton was among the top one per cent of federal employees in terms of his salary. He also enjoyed top level “Q clearance”, giving him access to classified information “which reasonably could be expected to cause exceptionally grave damage to the national security” if it was leaked.

Sam Brinton is or at least was a member of the Washington, D.C. chapter of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence drag queen society, which has declared Dr. Anthony Fauci – a.k.a. “Daddy Fauci” – a “saint”.
