New York Times Columnist Picks ‘Ulcer DeSantis’ Over ‘Cancer Trump’.

The New York Times’ ‘Never Trump’ columnist Bret Stephens would endorse Ron DeSantis over Trump for the Republican nominee next year, he admitted in an interview with colleague Gail Collins.

“Well, as much as I dislike DeSantis for his views on abortion and Ukraine and free speech, I also have to ask whether I’d prefer him to Trump as the Republican nominee. And there the answer is a resounding yes, much as I’d much prefer a peptic ulcer to stomach cancer.”

– Bret Stephens

Stephens remained as scathing of the former President throughout the conversation, referring to Trump’s barnstorming CNN town hall appearance in May as “more mendacious, more shameless, more unapologetic, more aggressive, [and] nastier.”

He continued: “As you know, I will vote for [Biden] over Trump or DeSantis. But Democrats overstate his achievements and underestimate his unpopularity at their own — actually, our own — peril.”

The self-described “never Trump” columnist has despised the former President since before Trump’s first term. In 2017, Stephens referred to Trump as “the lying, narcissism, bullying, bigotry, crassness, name calling, ignorance, paranoia, incompetence, and pettiness.”

He even added, “I still wish Hillary Clinton were president.”

Lab-Grown Meat Produces Up To 25 Times More CO2, Study Reveals.

Lab-grown meat produces up to 25 times more CO2 than standard slaughtering practices when scaled up to the current supply in the market, according to a study conducted by the University of California, Davis.

The study reveals the environmental impact of lab-grown meat or animal cell-based meat (ACBM) production “is likely to be orders of magnitude higher than median beef production.”

The increased levels of CO2 would be necessary for the purification processes that supply nutrients to cultured cells – meaning “the removal of cells from an animal or plant and their subsequent growth in a favorable artificial environment.”

“The use of refinement methods contributes significantly to the economic and environmental costs associated with pharmaceutical products since they are both energy and resource intensive,” argue the researchers.

Notably, the study argues that previous reports on the positive environmental impact of ACBM rely on “unrealistic technologies” that are “not technically feasible,” non-existent, or improbable to function.

Although the study is yet to be peer-reviewed, the results would be damning for many of the most vociferous proponents of artificial meats, such as Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates, who claims that rich nations should embrace synthetic meat.

The news comes as The National Pulse revealed a concerning connection between lab grown meat and the Chinese Communist Party’s biowarfare program.

Trump Culture of Winning ‘Alive and Well’ as DeSantis’s Kentucky Candidate Finishes a Humiliating Third.

Ron DeSantis donors and surrogates regularly claim that Donald Trump’s winning days are over, and that the Republican Party needs new leadership. Their claims were rubbished overnight, however, as the Trump-backed candidate in Kentucky obliterated his DeSantis-backed opponent. Upon his victory, Daniel Cameron declared: “The Trump culture of winning is alive and well in Kentucky.”

Trump-backed Cameron won the GOP nomination for the Kentucky governorship with a double-digit triumph over runners-up Ryan Quarles and DeSantis’s preferred candidate Kelly Craft.

In what was described as a “proxy war” between Trump and DeSantis ahead of the 2024 Republican nomination, the former President was victorious with his preferred candidate receiving almost 100,000 more votes than DeSantis’s.

Following his victory, Cameron announced: “Of course, a big thank you to President Donald J. Trump for his support and his endorsement of this campaign.”

Ron Might Not Care.

Craft, endorsed by Ron DeSantis, finished with just 52,128 votes to Cameron’s 144,415. Skeptics have claimed the endorsement was less to do with electoral victory, and more to do with DeSantis courting Kelly’s husband Joe, a hyper-wealthy Romney donor who is the president and chief executive officer of Alliance Resource Partners, the third-largest coal producer in the eastern United States.

Craft was endorsed by a number of Republicans including Vivek Ramaswamy, Mike Pompeo, and Ted Cruz. She even spent $4.5 million more on campaign ads than Cameron, who will face current Governor Andy Beshear in November.

The news worsened for DeSantis on the night, as his preferred candidate in the Jacksonville mayor’s race, Daniel Davis, lost to the Democrat nominee Donna Deegan.

Serbians Turned Over 13,500 Guns to Government. Now Their President is Threatening ‘Repressive Measures’.

Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic has threatened “repressive measures” to bring gun owners to heel amidst a so-called amnesty which has already seen around 13,500 weapons turned over to the state.

Vucic, who vowed to see through an “almost complete disarming” of the Serbian public after consecutive mass shootings killed 17 people at a school and a trio of villages on May 3rd and May 4th, warned of a crackdown once the amnesty ends in early June.

“After June 8th, the state will respond with repressive measures and punishments will be very strict,” the Serbian Progressive Party leader said.

“What does anyone need an automatic weapon for? Or all these guns?”

Gun ownership rates are high in Serbia – at least by European standards – given the Balkan country’s long history of partisan activity and ethnic and religious conflict. Many weapons are held “illegally,” since the country’s constitution enshrines no rights to bear arms like the United States.

Around half of the guns and grenades turned in so far were held illegally, according to ITV News, quoting President Vucic.

Muslim Player Fined For Refusing to Wear Rainbow Flag, Still Won’t Submit.

Mostafa Mohammed, an Egyptian footballer (soccer player) for the French side Nantes, was fined by his club for refusing to wear a gay pride rainbow flag on his arm during a game against Toulouse on Sunday.

Nantes announced on Monday, May 15, that Mohamed was fined an undisclosed amount, with the money going to a French LGBT charity called SOS Homophobia.

On Sunday, “[t]he numbers on shirts of all players in France’s top two divisions, as well as armbands worn by captains and officials, were rainbow-coloured as the French league staged a campaign against homophobia,” reports Insider Paper.

Mohamed made a statement regarding the matter on Twitter,

“I respect all differences. I respect all beliefs and all convictions. This respect extends to others but my personal beliefs must be respected as well.”

“Given my roots, my culture, the importance of my convictions and beliefs, it was not possible for me to participate in this campaign. I hope my decision will be respected,” he added.

Mohamed was not the only player who refused, however. Toulouse striker Zakaria Aboukhlal, who, due to feature against Mohamed, refused to play for the same reasons.

“Respect is a value that I hold in great esteem. It extends to others, but it also encompasses respect for my own personal beliefs. Hence, I don’t believe I am the most suitable person to participate in this campaign,” stated Aboukhlal on Twitter.

‘No F**king Way!’ – British Intel Mocked FBI’s Flimsy Russia Collusion ‘Evidence’ Against Donald Trump.

Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation into the FBI’s debunked attempts to connect President Donald Trump to Russian collusion reveals that British intelligence officials were deeply unimpressed by the evidence, saying there was “no [f**king] way in hell” they would assist.

The Durham Report, commissioned in 2019 after the excruciatingly drawn-out investigations into Trump and Russia, has concluded there was no evidence of any of it.

The report slams the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane probe as lacking sufficient evidential justification, and for its “confirmation bias”.

Pages 60 onward reveal British intelligence officials were stunned by the flimsiness of the FBI investigation, to the extent that they were convinced the Americans were holding evidence back. But they weren’t.

Specifically, the report relates how the FBI’s Assistant Legal Attaché in London, known as “UK ALAT-1”, said the British “expressed real skepticism about the motivations and reliability” of key source George Papadopoulos, and “could not believe” that vague comments Papadopoulos reportedly made in a bar “was all there was” to justify an investigation.

One British official is said to have told UK ALAT-1 that “the FBI’s plan for an operation made no sense.”

This lack of evidence was also a cause for concern among UK-ALAT-1 and his colleagues:

UK ALAT-1: Dude, are we telling them [British Intelligence Service-I] everything we know, or is there more to this?
Supervisory Special Agent-1: that’s all we have… not holding anything back
UK ALAT-1: Damn that’s thin
Supervisory Special Agent-1: I know it sucks

Later, UK ALAT-1 would find himself at FBI HQ as Crossfire Hurricane investigators “played the audio/visual recordings of [a] meeting with Carter Page” – another FBI source.

“UK ALAT-1 said the effect on the British Intelligence Service-I personnel was not positive because of the lack of any evidence corning [sic] out of the conversation,” the Durham Report notes diplomatically.

UK ALAT-1’s recollection portrayed them rather more candidly, however, with one British official reportedly saying: “For [expletive] sake, man. You went through a lot of trouble to get [Page] to say nothing.”

By the time Special Counsel Robert Mueller began his Trump-Russia investigation, UK ALAT-1  recalled, “the Brits finally had enough,” and when they were asked to assist “basically said there was no [f**king] way in hell they were going to do it.”

UK-ALAT-1 himself appears to have been skeptical of his superiors’ efforts. The Durham Report notes that he “saw that FBI executive management was pushing the matter so hard” and quotes him as saying “there was no stopping the train”.

REVEALED: The Curious Connection Between Lab Grown Meat, Primate Breeding, and China’s Biowarfare Program.

“Cultured chicken”, also known as “lab-grown meat”, is being tested and approved by JOINN Biologics, a Chinese firm with links to China’s biowarfare program.

GOOD Meat – the lab-grown meat division of Eat Just Inc. – recently received approval from the FDA to bring its first alternative meat product to market in the United States, and hopes to feed paying customers soon. The company submitted an extensive filing of its own research to secure recognition of the safety of its product. Most companies seeking “generally recognized as safe” certification undertake safety testing themselves, which the FDA evaluates.

But GOOD Meat’s filing reveals the China-linked firm JOINN is integral to the production and quality control of the newly-licensed cultivated chicken. The company, founded in 2018 as an offshoot of its parent JOINN Laboratories, has a facility not far from Eat Just’s headquarters in San Francisco.

According to the filing, “JOINN Biologics US Inc (CA, USA) currently produces the chicken cells in a dedicated manufacturing suite” in Richmond, California. The filing goes on to describe how “the cells harvested at JOINN Biologics are frozen for shipment without cryopreservation agents to locations where the finished meat food products are prepared.” In addition to manufacturing the chicken, JOINN is responsible for ensuring the raw materials it is produced from are of a suitable quality and “food safety risks from potential adventitious agents or other contaminants” are mitigated.

Chinese Biowarfare.

JOINN Biologics made national headlines in 2022 when it bought 1,400 acres of land in Morriston, Florida at a cost of $5.5 million, to build a new primate quarantine and breeding facility to expand the parent company’s existing lab-animal-breeding operations. The purchase was one of the largest single purchases of American real estate by a Chinese company to date.

News of the purchase led to the revelation that JOINN, like most Chinese companies, has extremely close ties to the Chinese government and its biowarfare program.

A number of key personnel who work for JOINN Biologics and its parent company studied or worked at the Academy of Military Medical Sciences in Beijing. In 2021, the Academy was added to the U.S. trade blacklist for supplying biotechnology to the Chinese military. The founder of JOINN and chair of its board of directors is Yuxia Feng, a military physician and a graduate of the Academy. Her co-founder and vice chair of the board of directors, Conglin Zuo, worked at the Academy, in its Institute of Biotechnology. Other key personnel such as Hemei Wang and Shusheng Feng were also employed by the Academy, in the Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology. Feng has worked on research with a number of scientists in the People’s Liberation Army who are considered key players in China’s biological weapons research (Cheng-Feng Qin, Yusen Zhou, and Shibo Jiang).

Representative Scott Franklin (R-Fla) spelled out the obvious concerns in an interview with the Epoch Times: “The idea that we would permit a … biotech firm with ties to the Chinese military to breed lab monkeys on U.S. soil is baffling, especially after China unleashed the Covid-19 pandemic on the world… The Biden administration allowing Chinese Communist Party affiliated companies to buy up American land is unacceptable, especially for these purposes. If the President won’t put his foot down to protect American interests, Congress will.”

After indications that a change of use request would not be received favorably in Florida, it appears that JOINN never filed one, and the land at Morriston remains unused.

Fake Meat, Fake Ethics.

JOINN’s involvement in the testing and production of America’s first commercially available lab-grown meat raises questions about the safety certification process for the product and about Chinese influence over critical aspects of America’s infrastructure, including its food supply.

The news is also a major blow to the credibility of a foodstuff that is marketed on its “whiter than white” ethical credentials. Lab-grown meat is touted as the “cruelty-free” food of the future, a win-win for consumers who will be able to enjoy “real” meat without any animal suffering at all to produce it. With regard to GOOD Meat’s cultivated chicken, that credibility was already seriously in doubt. Despite CEO Josh Tetrick’s claims it is “real meat without slaughter”, GOOD Meat’s product is and always has been made with fetal bovine serum (FBS), an ingredient the company is careful to avoid mentioning, with good reason. FBS is extracted directly from the hearts of unborn calves in slaughterhouses, often while they are still alive.

Adding this to the fact that GOOD Meat’s product is made by a firm that breeds thousands of primates for experimentation, all moral grandstanding evaporates.

The National Pulse has previously reported on the potential safety risks associated with lab-grown meat made using immortalized cell lines. A recent Bloomberg Businessweek exposé revealed the big makers of lab-grown meat, including Eat Just, know this is a potential public relations disaster, and are doing everything they can to avoid talking about it.

Eat Just and its CEO also refuse to discuss the company’s questionable history under its previous name “Hampton Creek”. Hampton Creek was dogged by scandal from the day its first product, a vegan “mayonnaise”, hit the shelves in 2014.

Although the company has managed to continue attracting large amounts of investor capital, especially from the Middle and Far East, it has been unable to stop the flow of damaging publicity.

Bio-Shock.

JOINN Biologics US was founded in 2018 as an offshoot of parent company JOINN Laboratories, established in 1995 in China.

JOINN Laboratories was the first private contract research organization in China created for the non-clinical evaluation of drugs. Headquartered in Beijing, JOINN has subsidiaries across China, including in Suzhou and Shanghai, as well as subsidiaries in the United States. With over 2,500 staff, the parent company offers a range of services from non-clinical safety assessments, through clinical trials to pharmacological oversight, services in veterinary medicine, pesticide evaluation, and the development of medical devices.

JOINN Biologics describes itself as a “full-service premier Contract Development & Manufacturing Organization which provides you with quality, value and speed to market from DNA to Drug Product.” In terms of manufacturing, it offers “Master cell banking, Upstream GMP manufacturing, Downstream GMP manufacturing, Fill and Finish, Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Documentation to support IND filing”. It classifies its “cell-cultured meat” capabilities as “biomass production”.

governor brown xi jinping
Governor Brown Glad-hands Xi Jinping.

The company is based at the JOINN Innovation Park, an “emerging biotech campus for life science research and development companies in the San Francisco Bay Area biotech cluster”. The campus in Richmond, California has 30 resident biotech companies, offering services from “antibody and protein drug discovery” to “stem cells, cell therapy, and both medical device and preclinical services.” The site was bought by JOINN’s parent company in 2013 for $50 million. It had previously served as a manufacturing site for Berlex Biosciences, a subsidiary of the German pharmaceutical giant Bayer.

The acquisition came on the back of a $1.5 billion investment partnership between China and the State of California, which included the creation of a “California-China Office of Trade and Investment” to facilitate investment in China by Californian companies, and investment in California by Chinese companies. The creation of the Office had been promised a year earlier by Governor Brown when then-Vice President of the Chinese Communist Party Xi Jinping visited California.

Farage: Brexit Has Failed Due to Over-Regulation, Continued Mass Migration, and Useless Politicians.

Brexit leader Nigel Farage has declared ‘Brexit has failed’ due to the mismanagement of the now independent United Kingdom, predominantly by bureaucrats and Conservative Party politicians.

While corporate media sources have been quick to seize upon Farage’s summary without providing further context, the former UK Independence Party leader was detailed in his claims over Britain leaving the European Union, on the BBC’s Newsnight show on Monday.

“What Brexit has proved, I’m afraid, is that our politicians are about as useless as the commissioners in Brussels. We’ve mismanaged this totally.”

Farage spoke of issues such as “take-overs, corporation tax,” and said “we are driving business away from our country.”

None of this was inevitable, the Brexit leader said, but Britain’s Conservative Party shoulder the blame for “regulating our own businesses even more than they were as EU members.”

“Brexit has failed,” he concluded. “We’ve not delivered on Brexit and the Tories have let us down very, very badly.”

Farage also added that he does not believe the UK would be in a better position were it still a member of the European Union.

The news comes days after former U.S. President Donald Trump spoke to Farage about how left-wing Britain’s Conservative Party had now become.

OFFICIAL: Durham Report Exonerates Trump Over Russia Collusion Claims, Blasts ‘Biased’ FBI.

U.S. Special Counsel John Durham’s official report on the Trump-Russia investigation excoriates the FBI, finding they suffered from “confirmation bias” and never had sufficient justification to ever launch the probe.

Allegations of collusion with “the Russians”, repeated ad nauseam by the establishment media, took up an enormous amount of bandwidth throughout Donald Trump’s presidency. The fact that allegations of links between the Trump team and the Kremlin were being investigated at all lent them credibility in the eyes of many members of the public – though in the end no evidence of collusion was found.

Now, a Department of Justice (DoJ) report led by Special Counsel John Durham has found the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) relied on “raw, unanalysed and uncorroborated intelligence” to even begin the probe, and “failed to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law” – as did the DoJ itself.

“Throughout the duration of Crossfire Hurricane, facts and circumstances that were inconsistent with the premise that Trump and/or persons associated with the Trump campaign were involved in a collusive or conspiratorial relationship with the Russian government were ignored or simply assessed away,” the report observes, accusing officials of “confirmation bias”.

“[S]ome of those most directly involved in the… investigation had (i) expressed their open disdain for Trump, (ii) asked about when they would open an investigation on Trump, and (iii) asserted that they would prevent Trump from becoming President,” it notes.

Indeed, former FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith is said to have actually “committed a criminal offense by fabricating language in an email that was material to the FBI obtaining a FISA [Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act] surveillance order.”

“Cockroaches All Over Washington D.C.”

“[S]enior FBI personnel displayed a serious lack of analytical rigor towards the information that they received, especially information received from politically affiliated persons and entities… In particular, there was significant reliance on investigative leads provided or funded (directly or indirectly) by Trump’s political opponents,” the report states.

Moreover, investigators “did not adequately examine or question these materials and the motivations of those providing them, even when at about the same time the Director of the FBI and others learned of significant and potentially contrary intelligence.”

President Trump, for his part, has given the Deep State both barrels following the report’s publication, blasting: “THEY ARE SCUM, LIKE COCKROACHES ALL OVER WASHINGTON, D.C.”

He also offered his congratulations to Special Counsel Durham for producing a report “that is being praised for its quality, importance, and professionalism, by friend and foe alike!”

Britain’s ‘Conservative’ Govt Wants to Surge Immigration, Already at Record Highs.

United Kingdom (UK) government ministers are expected to announce that major increases in food prices and immigration are necessary to combat the amount of unpicked fruit and vegetables ‘rotting in the fields.’

The demand for increased immigration comes despite the nation experiencing record-breaking levels of net migration over the past two years, with 504,000 net arrivals in 2022 and between 650,000 and 997,000 expected this year.

In context, when the Brexit referendum occurred, net migration was deemed by the public as being far too high at 300,000 a year.

In gross terms, the nation of 67 million is importing around a million people – well over the population of some of Britain’s cities – every year.

A government spokesperson said: “The home secretary is clear that overall migration should come down. At the same time, seasonal labour is an integral part of the UK’s rural economy.

“No other sector in the UK economy has the level of access to seasonal labour that is enjoyed by the food supply chain. We continue to support our farmers through the seasonal workers’ visa route and have now provided 45,000 visas though it, with the potential for a further 10,000 places.”

Former President Donald J. Trump recently observed, correctly, that the British “Conservative” Party has drifted leftward over its years in government. The party is currently facing electoral wipeout, against Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour Party. The next election is expected by 2025, with Labour polling at 42 percent, and the “Tories” on 28 percent.
